Sales Policy
To ensure the best possible care for my rabbits and the protection and satisfaction of both parties, I have put the following guidelines in place. Please familiarize yourself with my sales policy before seeking to purchase a rabbit. By purchasing any rabbits from me, you are agreeing to all the terms and conditions stated herein.
General
- We currently raise English Lops only. Please know that we raise this breed to improve type, temperament, health, and longevity. We breed to the ARBA Standard of Perfection to the best of our abilities.
- We reserve the right to cancel a sale at any given time for any reason. If you are on our do not sell list, or associated with anyone on that list, we will not sell to you. If we feel you are not capable of caring for a rabbit it is our right to refuse a sale as well.
- Buyers must be 18 years of age. If buyer is under 18, they must have a parent/guardian present or the paren/guardian must contact us first to give permission for the buyer to pick up the rabbit.
- Rabbits are sold on a first come, first serve basis. We do not have and will not do waiting lists. A deposit is required to put a hold on a rabbit (see Sales & Payments).
- We do not and will not sell rabbits still in the nestbox. We do not allow any of our rabbits to leave our barn under 12 weeks of age (8 weeks is PA state law). English Lops are a slow developing breed and general type cannot be determined until they are older, generally 12-16 weeks of age.
- All sales are final. There will be no refunds given unless the rabbit is injured or dies in our care! I accept cash or PayPal (friends/family only) for payment.
- It is common courtesy to ask the original breeder before selling. I will gladly take back any rabbits that came from us if the buyer can no longer take care of or want the rabbit.
Sales & Payments
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to hold a rabbit for a maximum of 2 weeks unless discussed otherwise. This is to cover the cost of housing, caring, and feeding the rabbit until pickup.
- Discounts for 4H and FFA members available with proof of membership.
- Our prices are firm and non negotiable! This hobby takes a lot of time, money, and energy to keep up with so we ask that if you don’t wish to pay the price there are many others who can help you out.
- Show Quality ($125+) means that rabbit comes as close to the SOP as possible and has no known disqualifications. This is something we would put on the show tables myself.
- Brood Quality ($100+) means the rabbit is not quite suitable for shows meaning it has a non-genetic disqualifications or lacks some sort of qualities but has the ability to produce show quality animals.
- Pet Quality ($50+) means that the rabbit does not meet show standards according to the Standard of Perfect and/or has genes that should not be passed down by breeding. These are sold without pedigree.
Location & Pickup
- We are a closed rabbitry, therefore we do not allow anyone on our property, in or near our rabbitry for the safety and well-being of our rabbits. If you are coming to pick up a rabbit, we will meet locally at the Sheetz in Titusville PA.
- We do local pick up only and do not transport. For pick up, buyers will meet at the Sheetz or Giant Eagle in Titusville PA. We can also bring them to any shows we are attending and meet there.
- You must schedule pickup within 2 weeks from when the deposit is received. If the buyer does not show up on the agreed pick up place, date, and time; the rabbit will then become available again and deposit will not be refunded.
Guarantees
- All rabbits are sold with all information disclosed to the best of my knowledge.
- All rabbits that are sold will have a tattoo/ear number, even if not show/brood quality. This is for identification purposes and is needed when showing for show quality rabbits.
- We do not sell sick or injured rabbits. If any rabbits are showing signs of illness, they will not be released.
- If a rabbit dies within a week and it is not due to extreme temperatures, severe weather conditions, mistreatment, neglect, improper diet, unsafe/unsanitary housing or harm, or death from other animals, we will do my best to replace with another rabbit if we feel there’s a need for one or give you a refund.
- Once the rabbit leaves our barn, we are not responsible for it. All rabbits are sold free of diseases/illnesses. If you decide to take it to the vet we are not responsible for any vet bills.
- We cannot guarantee how any rabbit will do on the show table. Any known disqualifications will be disclosed with the buyer. We cannot guarantee that any rabbit will produce what you want it to.
- All of our English Lops are sold with 21”+ ears. If the buyer feels that they are not, please contact us and we will discuss it together.
- All show/brood quality rabbits come with a pedigree. There will be no changing or modifying of pedigrees in any way. The pedigree is to show that the rabbit is from our rabbitry and it’s our breeding.
- All pet quality rabbits will not come with a pedigree. We ask that you do not breed any pet quality.
